The leather used in this collection is a top-grain leather that has been buffed and sanded to give its signature distressed look.
This Vintage Leather Collection is constructed with frames made from birch wood. Each cushion is stuffed with high-density foam that is wrapped in Dacron. The cushions and frames are then covered in a top-grain leather that has been tanned and aniline-dyed. Once each piece is entirely assembled it undergoes an eight-stage distressing process of staining waxing and buffing that can take up to 14 days for each sofa.
For the final touches brass studs are individually hammered into place by hand and then antiqued with powder stain and linseed oil.
